Recycling Options

Aluminium is one of the most cost-effective materials to recycle.

Extrusion, sheet or swarf  can simply be remelted to make new products and require very little sorting. Other Aluminium products however, like castings, signs, wheels and composite panels may need to be sorted into various grade depanding on steel or plastic contamination.

Aluminium cans should be empty and squashed before they are brought to us to maximise your weight per container, Lids and plastic nozzles should be removed from aerosols but these should not be squashed. Used aluminium cans recycled in Australia are primarily recycled back into beverage cans. Because aluminium does not ‘degrade’ during the recycling process, it can be recycled over and over again.
